I’ve got another picture in an exhibition!

It’s an old travel shot (picture above) from a trip I took to Cuba back in 2008. I was wandering the back streets of Havana and came across a little boxing gym. It was basically a covered boxing ring plus some empty space and a few punch bags. A bunch of local kids were sparring or training and they let us take some pics of them (for a small fee!).

After the session I caught this young kid just sitting outside resting and thought it made quite a nice shot, especially with the gritty walls with stains running down them. Guess someone else did as its now going to be in an exhibition

The exhibition is being run by the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the Palais De Glace. It runs from the 19th January 2012 to 15th February so if your in the area [pop in and have a look!  There will be an auction of the pictures and all proceeds will go to the Save the Children and the Foundation for the Comprehensive Treatment of Children Neurological Diseases (FLENI)
